JoAnn's Background

A Michigan native, Roberts enjoyed her childhood growing up with her widowed mother and two brothers in the family’s 100 year-old Victorian home and lakefront resort. It’s where she first   developed her love of decorating. She would move from bedroom to bedroom with the seasons, rearranging the furnishings. The family’s decision to relocate to a warmer climate led them to Miami, which she describes as “paradise.” 

Each step of her professional journey – from being a paralegal in a prominent law firm, court reporter in downtown Miami, to the owner of two successful dress shops, to a professional inte-rior designer and decorator – has prepared her for the career she calls her “greatest passion” – real estate. “Those experiences taught me the intricacies of legal documents, how to success-fully operate as an entrepreneur and how to build relationships with clients across a broad spec-trum of home designs, sizes and price points.” Roberts points out that a significant secret to her success is listening carefully to what her clients want to accomplish.  She is well known for help-ing seniors deal with the emotions of selling a long-owned family home. She is well known for helping sellers not only sell their homes, but set new price standards in their neighborhoods. She not only counsels them on what modest enhancements will earn the biggest return on their investment.
